Merry Christmas Troop 1040

Today was the Troop Christmas Party and what better way to celebrate then with your fellow Girl Scouts.

Ms Andrea opened her doors to the troop and fun was had by all. With yummy food and a gift exchange what could be better? Smores you say? Well we had smores too and the marshmallow on top was hot chocolate to keep us warm while the girls played outside.

It was fun and I can't wait till the New Year to see our troop again. Until then, have fun and be safe.

Lots going on with our troop

The troop is meeting again and this year we kicked of our activities with an amazing camping trip... and SMORES!!!

Ms Andrea and the girls worked very hard planning and making the arrangements for the trip and it was a huge success. We loved sitting around the campfire and roasting marshmallows for smores and staying up and telling scarey stories. Thanks to all the girls and moms who joined us.

But during the last several meetings we have been discussing what our activity goal as a troop is.

We collect dues and raise funds through cookie sales, nut sales, magazine sales and other fundraisers to help us pay for the fun things we love doing.

The girls are very excited to collect... and spend the money. The question is what we want to spend it on. Some of the options we came up with were camping and horseback riding, a beach party, a trip to a theme park and even helping animals.

With so much going on and the motivation these girls have to have fun this will be an amazing year!
